Established in 2024, Private Music Lessons is founded and run by Daniel, an experienced musician and educator who has been actively teaching music since 2017. With years of hands-on teaching experience, Daniel has worked with students of all ages and abilities, allowing him to develop a wide range of teaching methods to suit different personalities, attention spans, and goals. Whether a student is learning their very first notes, preparing for exams, or refining advanced techniques, lessons are structured to meet them exactly where they are.

Hi, I'm Daniel...
I am a multifaceted musician—performing artist, record label manager, and dedicated music instructor. I have been teaching guitar, piano, music theory, and music production full-time since 2017. With close to 10,000 lessons completed, I’ve had the opportunity to work with students of all ages and skill levels, from complete beginners to advanced musicians.
My musical journey began in 2004 when, at nine years old, I picked up a guitar and immediately knew music would be a lifelong pursuit. By high school, I was already performing, winning talent shows, and DJing events—early experiences that shaped both my confidence and creative drive. After school, I studied Music Technology at the EMENDY Multimedia Institute, specialising in film scoring and sound synthesis.
In 2018, I committed fully to life as a professional musician. By day, I teach and mentor students; by night, I perform, create, and continue developing my craft. This journey has led me to perform at some of Johannesburg’s most reputable events and collaborate with artists I once admired from a distance.
